NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Two Delta Air Lines regional jets collided while taxiing at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday evening, injuring one person.

A "low-speed collision" occurred on the taxiway between Endeavor Air Flight 5047, arriving from Charlotte, North Carolina, and Endeavor Flight 5155, which was scheduled to depart for Roanoke, Virginia, said Delta in a statement.

A flight attendant sustained a minor injury, and no passenger injuries were reported, according to the airline.

Preliminary information indicated that the departing aircraft's wing made contact with the fuselage of the arriving aircraft. The Port Authority of New York stated that there was no impact on airport operations. ■
