HARBIN, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Located on the north bank of the Songhua River in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, the Taiyangdao (Sun Island) National Wetland Park has a wetland area of more than 7,000 hectares, with a high wetland rate of more than 70 percent. The Sun Island Scenic Area within the park is one of the few riverfront wetland grassland ecological zones lying in the city center in China.
In midsummer, the charming scenery of the island attracts numerous tourists.
